Summer is just about in full swing and that means yard work for many of us. No one ever gets excited to go sweat it out in the mid-day sun doing chores when you could be doing just about anything else. That is especially true for mowing the lawn. Thankfully we live in an age where technology is improving every day, and while a robotic mower isn’t a revolutionary concept, it is worth revisiting this time of year.
Gardena has a line of mowers, but we’ll specifically focus on the Sileno Minimo which is the quietest in its class. This handy gadget is advertised to handle up to 2700 sq. ft. and charges last about and hour (and also take a little over an hour to charge back up). The little robot is also smart enough to go find its station to charge itself when it gets low on battery.
The way it works is though the use of an app and setting up protective boundaries on your yard. So technically you’ll have to put a little effort in initially to install a cable boundary which really isnt that difficult looking, and then the mower will take it from there. It is also waterproof so you can set it up with the charging station outside all summer long without fear of damage from the weather. Since it is waterproof it is also very easy to clean, just hose it down and you’re all set.
So, if you’re looking to work smarter and not harder this could be the gadget for you. Go take some time back in your day and relax or do something more fun than mowing your lawn. Best of all it really isn’t much more expensive than an electric mower. Currently $650 on Amazon, it is a reasonable price for a lawnmower given the extra features this has over your typical mower.
